We had a good journey up on the Sunday, traffic was good, and it wasn't until we got off the motorway that we joined a queue. It didn't last long and we were clear again.
TQ is looking good with the roof having been painted, and the ceiling in the cabin is a welcome change to all that wood.
We turned right out of the marina and headed towards the winding hole where we did a 180, then reversed back about a mile and a bit toward the breach. It's very quiet here, the only boat to pass us was a little inflatable, one man with his tent and fishing rod.
I walked up as far as I could toward the breach but there's nothing to see, the pix say it all:-

There, that's telling ya! |
There's some big fish in the water here, on the way back I spotted two enormous carp patrolling close to the surface making a slight ripple, I wish I'd taken some photos.
